The Xuan Thuy National Park, still in the process of completing its facilities, can already provide a range of services to groups of up to 15 people.

1. How to get there? From Ha Noi: It is about 160 kilometers, so it would take about four to five hours to get here by motobike, car, or bus. You pay $5.00/person for park admission.

* Bus: The cheapest! It costs 80.000 VND/person/trip. You can take a bus from Giap Bat station or My Dinh station (Giap Bat is closer!).You can choose any bus to the communes in the buffer zone of the park: Giao Thien, Giao An, Giao Thanh, or Giao Huong. - When you arrive in Giao Thien, please give us a call. We can arrange to pick you up - free of charge! - When you arrive in one of the other communes, you can ask us to pick you up or you can rent a “xe om” (a motorbike-taxi) by yourself. The maximum cost is 30.000 VND/person/trip. From Xuan Thuy national park, you can easily catch a bus to come back to Ha Noi, or transit to other close points of interest like Cuc Phuong national park.  

 
2. Where to stay? You can choose whether you want to stay in a guest house, hotel, or home-stay with locals in the village.

 3. What to eat? We have a small kitchen and we can serve you a special price, but you can also decide the price depending on your order. Of course, the food would consist of local dishes, but we would try to meet your requirements. In general lunch and dinner cost $5-$7/person/meal while breakfast and other light meals are $1-$2/person.  

 
4. How to get around in the park? Xuan Thuy National Park is a typical wetlands site in the north of Vietnam. Therefore, boats are very common means of transportation. We can also help you to travel conveniently on land by motorbikes or bicycles.

7. When is the best time for bird watching? The migration season is from October to March each year, therefore this is the perfect time for bird watchers to see a lot of migratory birds. If you are lucky you can see nine bird species to be found in the IUCN Red Book.

  

8. Things to remember? You should prepare yourself with the following upon arriving in Xuan Thuy National Park: - Identification card: passport/visa - Personal stuff - General medicine: it is not compulsory, but it would better to bring medicine for headache, stomachache, flu, etc.... - Food: remember you will go to a rural area, so it is hard to have any western style food. So please have some with you if you are a little nosher!
